20th Century Fox launch street art campaign to celebrate the UK release of Rise of the Planet of the Apes

20th Century Fox has launched its ‘Hail Caesar’ campaign across cities in the UK to support the forthcoming release of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, in cinemas Thursday 11th August.

Some of the UK’s top street artists have conspired to bring about the perception of Apes rising and a new revolution beginning. Creative works inspired by the new film have already appeared in Manchester, London, Bristol, Brighton and Glasgow.
This cultural happening follows in the grand revolutionary traditions of murals and slogans providing a visual impact for the action.
RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES combines fantastic storytelling with the next leap in Visual Effects for an emotional and action-packed motion picture experience unlike any other. Man’s arrogance sets off a chain of events that leads to intelligence in apes and a challenge to our place as the dominant species on the planet. Caesar, the first intelligent ape, is betrayed by humans and rises up to lead his species’ spectacular race to freedom and the ultimate showdown with Man. In Caesar, WETA - the Oscar-winning visual effects team behind Avatar – have created a CGI ape that delivers a dramatic performance of unprecedented emotion and intelligence.
