Lovelace gets a trailer

The life of LINDA LOVELACE (Amanda Seyfried) told through the production of 'Deep Throat', her abusive relationship with Chuck Traynor (Peter Sarsgaard) and eventual spearheading of the feminist anti-pornography movement.

Linda Lovelace gets under the all-consuming influence of her abusive husband and self-declared manager, Chuck Traynor, who uses all means possible to persuade her to comply with his demands. The fragile woman becomes an infamous porn star, seems to be happy, but eventually breaks free from her husband and discloses the truth in order to prevent other women from getting similarly exploited.

Hulk Vs. Wolvberine Short DVD Review

3.5 Stars of Hulk smash and Wolverine slice cartoon fun.
Set before the X men this is Wolverine's first encounter with the thing the Americans call the Incredible Hulk, he is drafted in by Department H to find what or who has carved a path of destruction through the small towns of Alberta, Canada for the last week.
He has to bring in the Hulk or if not, kill it. But as with Logan/Wolverine things never run smoothly.

Percy Jackson is back

Three years ago the first Percy Jackson film hit cinemas worldwide with mixed reviews and a reasonable profit. This time we see the Half-blood balled upon to save the world for a second time.

Based on the huge best-selling series by Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon, continues the epic journey to fulfil his destiny, as he teams with his demigod friends to retrieve the Golden Fleece, which has the power to save their home and training ground, Camp Half-Blood.

The Brood Blu-ray Release Short Review

2 stars of allegedly "iconic" nonsense. 

The Brood is written and directed by David Cronenberg (eXistenZ, Naked Lunch), but he seems to have abandoned his penchant for the surreal and moved into the downright daft with this one.

The concept in itself is actually quite scary, Dr Raglan (Oliver Reed - Gladiator, Women in Love) is experimenting with a new therapy technique, called psychoplasmics, which enables his patients to release their rage through physiological changes. As a result of the therapy, one of his patients, Nola Carveth (Samantha Eggar - Hercules, Dr. Doolittle) develops the ability to project her rage into physical form.

Now I was expecting to see all manner of horrifying creatures being produced. What I wasn't expecting was the appearance of dumpy, slightly angry looking chavs in tiny ski suits. The acting is very good, great performances are put in by all, but even good actors can only cover up a limited amount of silliness.
