Capitol Couture returns

Friday 31st May, 2013. Lionsgate UK is very excited to share that they have launched their “new and improved” edition of the Tumblr blog CAPITOL COUTURE with their Spring Issue: Chroma Nouveau.

Heralding a time in the Capitol when colour blooms anew, Chroma Nouveau reveals a victorious celebration of Capitol life through fashion and culture.

CAPITOL COUTURE was created prior to the release of THE HUNGER GAMES last year and has been established as the preeminent source for Capitol fashion and style. CAPITOL COUTURE archives can be accessed via http://74th.capitolcouture.pn/.

For the CATCHING FIRE re-launch, the website will focus much more on high fashion and will roll out as three main “issues” for Spring, Summer and Fall. The website will include cover stories, Capitol “inspired” looks, designer and character profiles, guides and user-generated content. The site will be updated weekly in between each of the main issues.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is directed by Francis Lawrence and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the second in a trilogy that has over 50 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
Exploding into UK cinemas November 22, 2013.
