Paul VIP Screening

Yesterday, February 8, saw a special gala screening for Paul at London's Prince Charles Theatre. There was a small catch to get into the event - you had to be called Paul (or variant thereof). As you can see in the images that Paramount so nicely supplied, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg both made a surprise appearance.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America’s UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever.

For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-traveling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town—a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Collings (Frost).

Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes.

Yogi gets a Gala Screening

Yesterday at Vue Leicester Square Yogi Bear got it's UK Gala Screening. The nice people over at Filmbeat were there to cover the event and have kindly released a video report about the event.

Live-Action/ CG Animated Adventure in 3D. Everyone's favorite pic-a-nic basket-stealing bear makes his big-screen debut in the 3D family animated adventure "Yogi Bear." Jellystone Park has been losing business so greedy Mayor Brown decides to shut it down and sell the land. That means families will no longer be able to experience the natural beauty of the outdoors - and, even worse, Yogi, Boo Boo and all their forest friends will be tossed out of the only home they've ever known. Faced with his biggest challenge ever, Yogi must prove that he really is "smarter than the average bear" as he and Boo Boo join forces with their old nemesis Ranger Smith to find a way to save Jellystone Park from closing forever.

I AM NUMBER FOUR special fan preview

Monday night saw the anticipated I AM NUMBER FOUR special fan preview screening at the Apollo cinema Piccadilly! Stars of the film Alex Pettyfer and Teresa Palmer as well as the director DJ Caruso were all in attendance, alongside lots of eager fans.

There were nine who escaped. Three are dead. He is Number Four.

D.J. Caruso (Eagle Eye, Disturbia) helms an action-packed thriller about an extraordinary young man, John Smith (Alex Pettyfer), who is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Timothy Olyphant – Die Hard 4.0), he is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events—his first love (Dianna Agron), powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.
