THE TOP TEN FILMS/SHOWS YOU NEVER KNEW BRADLEY COOPER WAS IN

To celebrate the release of LIMITLESS (out on DVD and Blu-ray August 1, 2011), we take a look back at the TV shows and movies you never knew leading man Bradley Cooper once starred in.

1. Wedding Crashers (2005) John Beckwith (Owen Wilson) and Jeremy Grey (Vince Vaughn), a pair of committed womanizers who sneak into weddings to take advantage of the romantic tinge in the air, find themselves at odds with one another when John meets and falls for Congressman Cleary’s (Christopher Walken) daughter, Claire Cleary (Rachel McAdams). Bradley Cooper plays Claire’s overconfident, Ivy League boyfriend Sack Lodge who maliciously and hysterically stands in the way of John and Claire’s budding relationship.

2. Failure to Launch (2006) A thirty something slacker named Tripp (Matthew McConaughey) suspects his parents (Kathy Bates & Terry Bradshaw) of setting him up with his dream girl (Sarah Jessica Parker) so he'll finally vacate their home. Bradley Cooper plays Tripp's pal, Demo.

3. The Comebacks (2007) This spoof comedy follows an out-of-luck coach, Lambeau Fields (David Koechner), who takes a rag-tag bunch of college misfits and drives them towards the football championships. In the process, this life-long loser discovers that he is a winner after all by redeeming himself, saving his relationship with his family and friends, and finding that there is indeed, no "I" in "team!” Bradley Cooper plays Cowboy.

5. New York, I Love You (2009) An anthology film joining several love stories set in one of the most loved cities of the world, New York. Bradley Cooper stars in the vignette that chronicles his character Gus’ one night stand with Lydia, played by Drea de Matteo.

6. Case 39 (2009) A social worker (Renee Zellweger) fights to save a girl from her abusive parents, only to discover that the situation is more dangerous than she ever expected. Bradley Cooper plays Douglas J. Ames, psychiatrist and best friend to Zellweger’s character, social worker Emily Jenkins.

7. The Rocker (2008) The Rocker tells the story of a failed drummer who is given a second chance at fame when he joins his nephew's high school rock band giving him a chance to reclaim the rock God throne he's always thought he deserved, and taking the young band along for the ride of their lives. Bradley Cooper plays Trash Grace, a member of the 80s hair band, Vesuvius.

8. The Midnight Meat Train (2008) The film follows a photographer (Cooper) who attempts to track down a serial killer dubbed the “Subway Butcher” and discovers more than he bargained for under the city streets. Bradley Cooper plays the protagonist photographer, Leon.

9. All About Steve (2009) Convinced that a CCN cameraman (Cooper) is her true love, an eccentric crossword puzzler (Sandra Bullock) trails him as he travels all over the country, hoping to convince him that they belong together. Bradley Cooper plays the cameraman stalkee, Steve

10. TV Addition: Sex and the City (1999) Episode: “They Shoot Single People, Don’t They?” Carrie gets a horrible photo taken for the cover of New York Magazine. Miranda is faking it with her current boyfriend. Charlotte starts dating her handy-man. Samantha dates a club owner, who calls them a "we" right away. Bradley Cooper makes a one-shot appearance as the character Jake.

11. Wet Hot American Summer (2001) The film's events take place almost exclusively on August 18, 1981, at Camp Firewood, a Jewish summer camp located near Waterville, Maine. It is the last day of summer camp, and the last day of camp means the last day for each camper and counselor to find someone to kiss at the end of the big talent show that night. Bradley Cooper plays Ben, who along with Susie (Amy Poehler) attempt to produce and choreograph the greatest talent show Camp Firewood has ever seen.

Limitless DVD and Blu-Ray Release Review

This is an excellent film, 4.5 stars.

Limitless follows the exploits of aspiring author Eddie Morra (Bradley Cooper; The A-Team, The Hangover) whose life is radically changed when he meets his ex Brother-In-Law, who gives him a gift of an untested pill which, when ingested, allows the taker to access one hundred percent of their brain function. What follows is a battle to hang on to his dwindling supply and manage his new found skills, as he begins to come to the attention of various unsavoury characters.

The film is fast paced and exciting and the storyline is intelligent and well written, based on the best selling novel The Dark Fields by Alan Glynn. Limitless is directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist, Interview with the Assassin) who does a superb job. The acting is also very good, and the film stars Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies, Time Line), Robert De Niro (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull) and Abbie Cornish (Sucker Punch), all of whom bring a good deal of credibility to the whole thing.

Also worthy of a mention are the special effects, which are quite something in places and really allow the Blu-Ray to flex it's muscles. There are lots of clever little devices used which help you to immerse yourself in the experience.

There are several special features included on the disc: Director's commentary, Alternate Ending, Taking It To The Limit: The Making of Limitless, A Man Without Limits and a Theatrical Trailer.

In summary Limitless is a thoroughly entertaining film and comes highly recommended for a great way to spend a night in.
