Friday saw the release of a load of images, the poster and tons of, not safe for work, clips. Now we have two trailers. One contains nothing rude and the other one just seems to contains half, and fully naked, women!

I just hope the films use of 3D is only contained to, as seen in the trailer, to knives, guns and other objects thrown towards the audience and not things like "The world's largest penis" [see here for more about that]! The use of 3D does seem to be stuck in the same use of the medium as horror films. More to startle than to bring anything else to the story but I can be wrong!

3D SEX AND ZEN: EXTREME ECSTASY DEEMED TOO OUTRAGEOUS BY THE BBFC!

The BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) have requested cuts on the world’s first 3D erotic film - 3D SEX AND ZEN: EXTREME ECSTASY.

Metrodome were required to make two minutes of cuts to scenes of non consensual and violent sex but the strong sex scenes have been passed uncut at '18'"

The film has been well received by UK press so far, with The Guardian Online suggesting the film could be the saviour of 3D cinema, which has been underperforming in 2011.

3D SEX & ZEN: EXTREME ECSTASY has shattered box office records across the Asia Pacific region, including Hong Kong, Singapore. The film has grossed over $1m on 6 screens in Australia. The film is due to open in the UK on 2nd September in an exclusive deal with Odeon Cinemas.
3D SEX & ZEN: EXTREME ECSTASY was released uncut in Hong Kong and in Australia and is banned in mainline China. In the US the film has earned a NC17 rating from the MPAA, which means that nobody under the age of 18 will be permitted to see the film.
