Skyline Review

Alien invasion films do not come better than this first instalment of Skyline from the Brothers Strause.

Skyline jumps straight in with blue lights descending into the city streets waking the populace from their slumber, those that view the light are immediately effected by the alien lights, but short exposure seems not to effect people permanently.

This film is centred around the inhabitants of a tower block in the city centre, Terry (Donald Faison- Scrubs ) a young entrepreneur and his best friend Jarrod (Eric Balfour - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003), who has arrived along with his girl friend to help his friend celebrate his birthday.

The Brothers Strause have used their vast knowledge of visual effects to come up with stunning aliens and their ships as they smash and crash across the city devouring anybody they can get their claws on.

I just cannot wait for a follow-on film so fingers are crossed.

No brains are required to watch this film but that's what you want from a film of this kind, a great romp across somebody else's city is always fun to watch.
Skyline is 94 minutes of 5 Star mayhem.
The film is available to buy now on DVD.
