Jack Reacher gets a new trailer and poster

I'm not sure if Tom Cruise is doing another comedy or if somebody thought this cliche ridden new trailer was a good idea? The first trailer was bad enough but this takes some watching... Try and do it without laughing out loud to the dreadful dialogue.

Not only that, we also get a poster that looks like it's come out of a dubious Photoshop sweatshop that have decided that what the poster needs is a picture of Tom so photoshopped it looks like it was taken in the 80s and then superimposed over a shot of a car just about to run him over

Oh WOW! I don't think I've seen so many action film cliches in a film since the 80s. Cop who ignores the rules to do what's right, a fight scene where all the goons line up one by one to attack the hero and that's just the major ones!

No official synopsis exists but I did find this one:

A city is thrown into chaos following a shooting that leaves five dead. What at first seems like a simple case to solve becomes complicated when the accused requests that Jack Reacher be put on the case.
