Yesterday saw the world premiere of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. This happened in London with some of the cast and crew looking a lot colder than others!

Yesterday saw the release of a new set of image from the film. now I have been sent over footage from the Stockholm Press Day. This takes us more into the world of The Girl. Looking at the footage of the film that is inter-cut with the press conference answers. This makes me a bit worried that they have kept it too close to the original and not been able to give their own spin on the story.

We have already seen a teaser trailer and some images from the film. Now Sony, or is it Columbia, Pictures have released the first, full length, trailer and it's great. It is nice to see Hollywood for once not messing about that much with a foreign language remake.

Way back in June, Sony released the teaser trailer for the English language remake of the Swedish original. Now they have released the first three images from the film.
The images shows Mikael (Daniel Craig) and Lisbeth (Rooney Mara) in various scenes from the film. I can spot where two of them come from the original film.

With the worldwide phenomenal success of Stig Larsson’s Millennium trilogy both in book and the original Swedish language films. I am one who has always been very weary of Hollywood remaking, Or "Re-imagining", Foreign language films as they tend to be dumbed down for the American audience. After watching the trailer I don't think this has happened.
Watching the teaser trailer it does seem that the film makers have used, if not the exact same buildings but ones very close to what was used in the original trilogy.
There isn't that much of a synopsis at the moment but if you know the books or the films you know what happens...
