Screwed clips

With the film in cinemas from today I have been sent over a selection of clip from the film. Some are "not safe for work" as the contain violence/nudity/rude words (or all of the above). The ones that say Red Band are the ones. If you have missed the trailer then just head over here.

Clip “Sam’s First Day at Work” - Red Band
Clip "I want my smack" – Red Band
Clip “Truman approaches Sam” - Red Band
Clip “Domestic Fight” - Red Band
Clip “Heroin stash found”
Gritty prison thriller SCREWED turns the genre on its head by showing life behind bars through the eyes of the guards.

James D’Arcy (Master & Commander, Exorcist: The Beginning, Secret Diary of a Call Girl) stars as Sam, an English everyman forced to take a job as a prison officer on his return from a traumatic tour of duty in Iraq. He quickly bonds with his hardened fellow screws but the violence and desperation he witnesses on the job and his haunting memories of bloodshed overseas draw him down into a world of drink and drugs – a world in which he is increasingly alienated from his family.

When a confrontation with the prison authorities on the inside and the fatal shooting of a fellow officer on the outside lead Sam to the realisation that the watchmen may be as corrupt as the prisoners they’re paid to watch, he becomes embroiled in a potentially deadly game of cat-and-mouse against the background of a full-scale cellblock riot.

Screwed is produced and written by the man who lived it, Ronnie Thompson, and directed by Reg Traviss (Joy Division, Psychosis).

Horrible Bosses - new character posters

For ensemble films like this one it is a trend to do "character posters" of the main cast and this is one of them. Following on to some sent out a couple of weeks ago Warner Bros has sent out a new set for you to admire.

For Nick, Kurt and Dale, the only thing that would make the daily grind more tolerable would be to grind their intolerable bosses into dust. Quitting is not an option, so, with the benefit of a few-too-many drinks and some dubious advice from a hustling ex-con, the three friends devise a convoluted and seemingly foolproof plan to rid themselves of their respective employers... permanently.

There’s only one problem: even the best laid plans are only as foolproof as the brains behind them.

Jason Bateman (“Couples Retreat”), Charlie Day (“Going the Distance”) and Jason Sudeikis (“Hall Pass”) star as the three hapless workers, with Jennifer Aniston (“He’s Just Not That Into You”), Colin Farrell (“Crazy Heart”) and two-time Oscar® winner Kevin Spacey (“American Beauty,” “The Usual Suspects”), as their unbearable bosses. Oscar® winner Jamie Foxx (“Ray”) stars as the plotters’ unlikely mentor, whose street cred is priced on a sliding scale. The main cast also includes veteran actor Donald Sutherland and Julie Bowen (TV’s “Modern Family”).

The Girl goes English - The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo gets a trailer

With the worldwide phenomenal success of Stig Larsson’s Millennium trilogy both in book and the original Swedish language films. I am one who has always been very weary of Hollywood remaking, Or "Re-imagining", Foreign language films as they tend to be dumbed down for the American audience. After watching the trailer I don't think this has happened.

Watching the teaser trailer it does seem that the film makers have used, if not the exact same buildings but ones very close to what was used in the original trilogy.

There isn't that much of a synopsis at the moment but if you know the books or the films you know what happens...

‘Evil Shall With Evil Be Expelled’

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS - The family tree

With training montages out of the way and the film hitting cinemas today, Fox has released a final feature about "The mutant family tree"

X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
