009 RE:Cyborg

I'm a big fan of Manga and especially Anime. This one is a mix of my two all time favourites. Ghost in the Shell and Akira.

1964: Nine regular humans from different parts of the world are abducted and transformed into cyborgs with astounding powers for the purpose of being used as weapons. The nine cyborgs rebel and start to fight against their creators in the name of justice. But as their struggle finally restored world peace, they eventually disappeared from the pages of history and from people's memory.

2013: Skyscrapers across the world are hit by suicide bombers with no apparent connection. The nine heroes gather once again after 27 years to fight against this faceless menace. They appear untouched by time, but society around them has changed dramatically, as it has the very idea of "justice": they used to believe in... What is their role in the world now?

Planes gets a new poster

Disney has released a new poster for Cars 3, sorry, Planes. The more I see of this the more I feel sorry for Pixar as they normally do great films. The cars series, on the other hand, are disappointing even if they have done quite well at the Box Office.

From above the world of Cars comes Disney’s Planes an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure featuring Dusty (voice of Dane Cook), a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer. But Dusty’s not exactly built for racing—and he happens to be afraid of heights. So he turns to a seasoned naval aviator who helps Dusty qualify to take on the defending champ of the race circuit. Dusty’s courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible, giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar.
Disney's Planes flies into UK cinemas on August 16, 2013.

GRU'S FIRST TELEVISION APPEARANCE!

For the first time since he created the signature voice for the infamous animated character, Steve Carell appeared in studio as the “real-life” Gru from Despicable Me 2.

Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s worldwide blockbuster Despicable Me entertained audiences around the globe in 2010, grossing more than $540 million and becoming the 10th-biggest animated motion picture in U.S. history. In summer 2013, get ready for more Minion madness in Despicable Me 2. Chris Meledandri and his acclaimed filmmaking team create an all-new comedy adventure featuring the return of (former?) super-villain Gru (Steve Carell), his adorable girls, the unpredictably hilarious Minions...and a host of new and outrageously funny characters.

Capitol Couture returns

Friday 31st May, 2013. Lionsgate UK is very excited to share that they have launched their “new and improved” edition of the Tumblr blog CAPITOL COUTURE with their Spring Issue: Chroma Nouveau.

Heralding a time in the Capitol when colour blooms anew, Chroma Nouveau reveals a victorious celebration of Capitol life through fashion and culture.

CAPITOL COUTURE was created prior to the release of THE HUNGER GAMES last year and has been established as the preeminent source for Capitol fashion and style. CAPITOL COUTURE archives can be accessed via http://74th.capitolcouture.pn/.

For the CATCHING FIRE re-launch, the website will focus much more on high fashion and will roll out as three main “issues” for Spring, Summer and Fall. The website will include cover stories, Capitol “inspired” looks, designer and character profiles, guides and user-generated content. The site will be updated weekly in between each of the main issues.

Please enjoy the Spring Issue: Chroma Nouveau at: http://capitolcouture.pn/

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is directed by Francis Lawrence and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the second in a trilogy that has over 50 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
Exploding into UK cinemas November 22, 2013.

In Their Skin DVD Release Short Review

I was very disappointed in this film, only 2 stars I'm afraid.intheirskin
It really is a shame because the premise of In Their Skin is great and I was looking forward to watching it.
The story centres around the Hughes family, Mary, Mark and Brendon, who go away to a secluded holiday cottage to get away from their everyday lives after the death of their daughter in a tragic accident.
