Contagion is rising

Warner Bros. has released a new set of images for the upcoming ensemble film, Contagion. This to go with some images that have been released along with a trailer.

With the new images I have found a great, and this time correctly used, viral ad for the film that was set up in Ottawa.
“Contagion” follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that kills within days. As the fast-moving epidemic grows, the worldwide medical community races to find a cure and control the panic that spreads faster than the virus itself. At the same time, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming apart.

See more of The Girl

We have already seen a teaser trailer and some images from the film. Now Sony, or is it Columbia, Pictures have released the first, full length, trailer and it's great. It is nice to see Hollywood for once not messing about that much with a foreign language remake.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the first film in Columbia Pictures’ three-picture adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s literary blockbuster, The Millennium Trilogy.

Directed by David Fincher (The Social Network) and starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, the film is based on the first novel in the trilogy, which altogether have sold 50 million copies in 46 countries and become a worldwide phenomenon. The screenplay is by Steven Zaillian.

The Lion King roars into 3D

All your friends and enemies are back but this time they are all in 3D. Disney has now converted the classic, The Lion King, into 3D!
I had the US, domestic, trailer here earlier. now I have been sent over the UK version.
An unforgettable story, breathtaking animation, beloved characters and award-winning music sets the stage for “The Lion King”, a Disney classic that follows the adventures of Simba, the feisty lion cub who “just can't wait to be king.” But his envious Uncle Scar has plans for his own ascent to the throne, and he forces Simba's exile from the kingdom. Alone and adrift, Simba soon joins the escapades of a hilarious meerkat named Timon and his warmhearted warthog pal, Pumbaa. Adopting their carefree lifestyle of “Hakuna Matata,” Simba ignores his real responsibilities until he realizes his destiny and returns to the Pride Lands to claim his place in the “Circle of Life.”

The all-star vocal talents - including Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, Whoopi Goldberg, James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, Ernie Sabella, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Robert Guillaume, Cheech Marin and Moira Kelly - rip-roaring comedy and uplifting messages of courage, loyalty and hope make this a timeless tale for all ages.

Have a look at J. Edgar

What is it with Leonardo DiCaprio and strange US figures. He's already played Howard Hughes in The Aviator and now we see him in J. Edgar playing, as rumour suggests a cross dressing, lunatic head of the FBI!

Now, Warner Bros. has released two images from the film showing Leo.

As always, there isn't a UK trailer out there yet. On the other hand, there is a US teaser trailer.

As the face of law enforcement in America for almost fifty years, J. Edgar Hoover was feared and admired, reviled and revered. But behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have destroyed his image, his career and his life. Academy Award nominee Leonardo DiCaprio ("Inception," "Blood Diamond") stars in the title role of "J. Edgar," a drama that explores the public and private life of one of the most powerful, controversial and enigmatic figures of the 20th century.

How far would you go for retribution?

Momentum has just sent over some images and a synopsis for the upcoming Nicolas Case / Guy Pearce thriller, Seeking Justice. Sorry that should be Justice. The synopsis doesn't give the magnitude of what's the film is actually about. It's a lot more than a revenge thriller...

I can't find an English trailer. On the other hand I found this one from Hong Kong. It is in English but with Chinese subtitles

Popular high school teacher Will Gerard (NICOLAS CAGE) lives a life of content domesticity with his beautiful musician wife Laura (JANUARY JONES). Until one night’s horrific events, turns their world upside down.

After Laura is violently attacked and left traumatised in hospital, Will is approached by a well-dressed stranger (GUY PEARCE) offering to dispense immediate justice to the attacker and save the couple from an emotionally traumatic trial. Distraught, Will accepts the proposal but soon learns justice comes at a price.

A visceral action thriller with unexpected twists, JUSTICE questions the lengths a man will go to seek his vengeance.

But as they settle into their new life, they discover their perfect home was the murder scene of a mother and her children. And the entire city believes it was at the hands of the husband who survived.

Two brothers face the fight of a lifetime – and the wreckage of their broken family – within the brutal, high-stakes world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting in Lionsgate’s action/drama, WARRIOR.

An ex-Marine haunted by a tragic past, Tommy Riordan (Tom Hardy) returns to his hometown of Pittsburgh and enlists his father (Nick Nolte), a recovered alcoholic and his former coach, to train him for an MMA tournament awarding the biggest purse in the history of the sport. As Tommy blazes a violent path towards the title prize, his brother, Brendan (Joel Edgerton), a former MMA fighter unable to make ends meet as a public school teacher, returns to the amateur ring to provide for his family. Even though years have passed, recriminations and past betrayals keep Brendan bitterly estranged from both Tommy and his father.

But when Brendan’s unlikely rise as an underdog sets him on a collision course with Tommy, the two brothers must finally confront the forces that tore them apart, all the while waging the most intense, winner-takes-all battle of their lives.
WARRIOR is in UK cinemas now.
