IN TIME - Comic Con sizzle reel

Fox has just sent over what they describe as a "Sizzle reel". No, I have no idea what that means as well.

It has the feel of a Philip K Dick story mixed with a strange sort of Logan's run.

Welcome to a world where time has become the ultimate currency. You stop aging at 25, but there’s a catch: you’re genetically-engineered to live only one more year, unless you can buy your way out of it. The rich “earn” decades at a time (remaining at age 25), becoming essentially immortal, while the rest beg, borrow or steal enough hours to make it through the day. When a man from the wrong side of the tracks is falsely accused of murder, he is forced to go on the run with a beautiful hostage. Living minute to minute, the duo’s love becomes a powerful tool in their war against the system.

Simon Pegg stars in a Fantastic Fear of Everything

Wednesday 27, July 2011. Keel Films, in association with Universal Pictures, Indomina Releasing and Pinewood Studios Group, is delighted to announce start of production of psycho-comedy A Fantastic Fear of Everything, starring Simon Pegg. Shooting commenced on 6th July 2011, production is shooting on location in London and at Shepperton Studios.

A Fantastic Fear of Everything is written and directed by musician-turned-filmmaker Crispian Mills, marking his feature debut. He is joined by co-director and animator Chris Hopewell as part of a collaboration with Collision Films, whose award-winning work includes Radiohead’s There There and The Killers’ Smile Like You Mean It. A Fantastic Fear of Everything is produced by Geraldine Patten.

Universal Pictures will release the film in the UK, as well as Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Latin America. Indomina will release the film in the U.S. and handle sales for all other territories worldwide. Indomina is also providing production financing.
Jack (Simon Pegg) is a children’s author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line by his long-suffering agent and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden and inexplicable interest in his script, what should be his ‘big break’ rapidly turns into his ‘big breakdown’, as Jack is forced to confront his worst demons; among them his love life, his laundry and the origin of all fear.
Starring Simon Pegg (Mission Impossible 4, Star Trek) as Jack, and introducing Alan Drake, A Fantastic Fear of Everything also stars Amara Karan (The Darjeeling Limited), Clare Higgins (Hellraiser) and Sheridan Smith (Hysteria).

A Fantastic Fear of Everything is the first film to receive backing from ‘Pinewood Films’ - a new finance initiative for small budget independent British films by the Pinewood Studios Group.

Paranormal Activity 3 gets a teaser trailer

Now Saw has ended it's seven year run, Hollywood needs a series to run with.

The first Paranormal Activity film was, in its way, groundbreaking in horror terms. The second was a way to cash in on the success of the first and now with the third... I haven't seen any of the, now, trilogy but what I have read it seems that the film series is running backwards. In other words Paranormal Activity 2 isn't a sequel but a prequel. The third film seems to be a prequel to this film. If this carries on we will get a Paranormal Activity: The Womb months in the next couple of years.

No UK poster exists at the moment but here is the US one. It shares the same release date as when the film hits the UK and, probably, the same images...
We are excited to tell you that the CATFISH team of Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman have come aboard PARANORMAL 3. Jason Blum and the original creator Oren Peli are back producing with Steven Schneider and Akiva Goldsman executive producing. Christopher B. Landon, who served as a writer on last year’s hit sequel is back, and so are your sleepless nights.

Bounty Films brings us Erotibot from Japan

More strangeness coming out of Japan. This time it's not only got sex and money but Androids and ninjas thrown in for good measure. WE have reviewed this wonderfully strange film - just head over here to read what we thought.

I've managed to find a trailer. However, I would advise caution when watching it as there are some parts do show naked boobies...
Can love prevail over sex, money, androids, and ninjas?

Erotibot is the latest film from the production company behind the powerful earth, shattering Big Tits Zombie & ultra bloody gorefest The Horny House of Horror.

Tamayo (Mahiro Aine) is so adorable! From the time she was small she has been treated as the ultimate princess! Tomayo, is heiress to her wealthy family’s fortunes. In order to protect her from outside danger she is looked after by three android bodyguards. The first android is masterful and good looking. The second has beastlike strength, and the third is a clumsy misfit who can't seem to get anything right. He fantasises over his mistress and is adored by her. Together, the three androids help detect danger, and serve Tomayo during the day, and occasionally engage in after-dark 'bedroom protection' as well... Life is good!

Meanwhile another family member, Tsukiyo (Japanese AV star Maria Ozawa) who is jealous of Tomayo, hires a private detective to spy on her. He uncovers a dark secret that Tomayo is in fact the “bastard daughter” of a servant. When Tsukiyo discovers this, she is consumed by rage believing Tomayo to be an embarrassment to the family and not ‘pure blood’. Along with her servant Azami (Asami, The Machine Girl, Robogeisha), she plots to regain the inheritance she believes to be hers!!! Can she distract the three Androids long enough to exact her plan?! Who will the Androids serve in the end?! Which Android will win Tamayo's love??!!

Love, tears, and laughs tell a fascinating story that will leave viewers satisfied with their choice in erotic Sci-fi Fantasy, and will answer that age old question - "Do heiresses dream of erotic androids or cup noodles?
